Ceremonies and Honors

Honor Roll and Principal’s List

This is designed to recognize students who earn and maintain at least a 3.0 average (“B”) for the NINE weeks. Students who achieve and maintain a 4.0 average (all A’s) for the NINE weeks are placed on the Principal’s List.

8th Grade Student of the Year

8th grade students who maintain a 3.5 or above grade point average will be given the opportunity to complete an application for student of the year.  They must also submit a biographical sketch with a list of achievements, leadership, and community service.  There will be a deadline for the packets to be submitted.  No exceptions will be made for packets that are submitted after the deadline.  A committee then scores the students on the submitted items using a rubric provided by the district.  Then, chosen students will be interviewed to be selected as the school’s student of the year.

End of the Year Ceremonies

Grade Level ceremonies are held during the last week of school. Students that maintain an “A” average (Principal’s List) for the entire school year will receive a Principal’s List award. Students that maintain a “B” average (Honor Roll) the entire school year will receive an Honor Roll award.
